Question: Can we fill the RHS®980 with liquid refrigerant?
Answer: Yes filling with Liquid refrigerant using Fill Cylinder is actually the preferred method to utilize. Internal components vaporize all received liquid which protects the compressor and results in a faster rate of refrigerant transfer. Furthermore, the RHS®980 will completely remove all the refrigerant from the virgin refrigerant cylinder reducing wasted refrigerant at the landfill and in the environment.
Question: Does the unit include automatic oil draining?
Answer: During recycle or fill cylinder procedures, any recovered oil is automatically collected on a bottle on the side of the unit. Screen prompts inform the operator to check this bottle level before and after service.
Question: Does the RHS®980 require as much time to recover from a larger vehicle as it does from a smaller vehicle?
Answer: The RHS®980 actually adjusts the required recycle time depending on the size of the vehicle A/C system. Typically a 3 Lb system will take 30 minutes while a smaller less than 1Lb system will take approximately 10 minutes.
Question: Can I reduce the time required for service by pressing the STOP key or turning the power OFF on the unit?
Answer: Actually the machine could take longer if the processes are not allowed to proceed to full completion. Internal components are monitored prior to starting procedures and if it is determined that residual refrigerant remains inside components, additional time is allotted to the clearing process to remove these residuals.
